Sonny Hostin, co-host of The View and resident hypocrite went on another of her childish rants on Friday.
She was blasting President Trump for using tear gas at the border, but when it was pointed out to her that during eight years of Obama, the Border Patrol used tear gas on the migrants an average of once a month, much more often than since President Trump took office. Hostin then said she didn’t care what Obama did.
This shocking admission by Hostin pretty well sums up the Democratic party. It’s okay if we do it, but it is evil if you do it. She says, forget what Obama did and just concentrate on what Trump does. What did Trump do? He reduced the use of tear gas at the border. Gasp. How shocking.
Even Whoopi Goldberg seemingly agreed with the more moderate hosts pointing out that it is hypocrisy to admonish a president for something that his predecessor did much more often, and she cited her sources.
“In that piece, it said over a period of four months in 2014 under the Obama years, HHS allegedly placed a number of unaccompanied children into the hands of a ring of human traffickers, who forced [the children] to work on egg farms in and around Ohio, leading to a federal and criminal indictment.”
“According to the indictment, the minor victims were forced to work six and seven days a week, 12 hours per day. These are the things we don’t talk about.”
Hostin then lost it and said:
“The last I checked, President Obama is no longer in office!” she said. “This ‘but Obama’ defense doesn’t work for me. … President Trump is in office! … I don’t care what Obama did! I care what Trump is doing right here, right now!”
McCain shot back:
“[I]f you’re infuriated now, you should’ve been infuriated then.”
Game, set, match.
